We are Gary & Cindy living in Grapevine, Texas. We live in the shadow of Delaney Vineyards & Tasting Room. Despite passing by the grapes every day and a couple of vacations spent in Napa and Sonoma, neither of us knew very much about wine except for red vs. white.

In the Summer of 2011, we embarked on a tour of the Texas Hill Country and surrounding areas. Our six day vacation focused on visiting as many Texas vineyards and wineries as possible, and trying as many Texas wines as we could each day and still be able to safely drive. As with all of our travel experiences, enjoyment is found not only in the destinations, but also in the journey along the way. We love meeting the good folks that make the wines, tend the vines, and assist in the wineries. We love listening to the stories shared by our new friends and also enjoy sharing our life’s stories.

Grapevine is home to many wineries. That close proximity to vineyards and wineries only fuels our love for wines. We are proof that you can have very diverse interests and hobbies, but you can still share a passion for learning new things. Even with wines, our interests don’t usually converge. Gary enjoys bold, dry reds and Cindy prefers sweeter, white wines. One can say that we have a ‘mixed marriage’.

We decided that with full time jobs, part time jobs, two teenage girls, community and church volunteerism and much more, we have just enough time left in our busy lives to have some fun. We invite you to join us as we “uncork our adventurous life.”
